Below you see three strong arguments for choosing an LA44 for your patient lifts.
Besides a number of safety options the actuator has many valuable features and a very long lifetime.

LA44 Actuator
|
We know that the rate of overweight and heavy people is increasing. The LA44 is available in a 10,000N and a 12,000N version, which secures safe handling of heavy patients and prevents the work staff suffering from back injuries as they avoid handling the heavy patients manually.
Furthermore, potential work injuries are prevented by the electrical spline, as the actuator can only push and not pull, in case something touches e.g. the lifting boom on a patient lift. This means that injuries are prevented if someone (or something) gets caught between moving parts as the actuator retracts.
The LA44 actuator is capable of withstanding a side load of 100 kg (in full load and full stroke). This means that at 400 mm stroke and a load of 12,000N, the actuator can withstand side load of 100kg. The LA44 is designed to increase safety in patient lifts.
With a safety nut as a built-in standard, the LA44 prevents work and patient accidents, as the actuator will fail in a secure way in case of a breakdown.
From extensive testing we know, that our actuators have a very long lifetime, but eventually the actuator nut will be wasted. With a built-in safety nut a patient hanging in a patient lift does not risk to fall down in case of an actuator breakdown, and thus potential injuries are avoided.
With the LA44 actuator, LINAK has developed a product, which with its wide range of safety options, compact design, and outstanding performance is the right choice for medical applications such as patient lifts, beds, dental chairs etc.
